Valentine’s Day Chocolate Covered Pretzels

post featured image
Sharing how to create these fun and easy dipped and decorated pretzels for Valentine’s Day. Who doesn’t love chocolate covered pretzels! They make for the perfect valentine treat and super easy!
Step 1
Gather the pretzels you want to decorate. I love the thick pretzel rods and twists but you can definitely use the thinner ones as well.
 Step 2
Find some pink, white and red sprinkles. I think this is the most important part!
 Step 3
You can get both the white and milk chocolate or just one kind. I love white chocolate and Michael loves milk chocolate, so I got both!
Melt the chocolate in the microwave (easy way). Depending on the size of the blocks, or chips will depend on how long it needs heated. It needs to be smooth, not lumpy.
 Step 4
Dip the pretzel into the chocolate. If your bowl is too small, use a spoon to pour the chocolate over the pretzels (necessary for the rods). Tap the pretzel on the side of the bowl for excess chocolate to drip off.
 Step 5
Follow immediately with sprinkles. If you wait too long, the chocolate will dry and the sprinkles won’t stick. Lay on wax paper to dry.

 Step 6
Let the dipped pretzels harden for about an hour. You can also place them in the fridge for a quick chill.

Wrap the pretzels in clear plastic wrapping and tie with a pink or red string. Makes for the perfect Valentine Treat!
