Braid on Braid Tutorial

post featured image
Today I am sharing a fun braid tutorial that is super easy. I call it the braid on braid. It is simple braid (using three strands) but one of the strands is braided. For this look, all you do is braid one of the strands beforehand and then braid as usual This creates some extra texture and breaks up the mundane pattern of a regular braid. Below is the step by step.
All you will need is hairspray and if you have clean hair, I recommend volumizing dust to get added texture.
Comb out your hair and separate into three sections.

Select one of the outer sections and braid the strand of hair. Secure that braid with a ponytail holder.
Next braid the three strands like a normal braid.

 Secure with rubber band,
Next, sprinkle volumizing dust on braid and loosen the stands by pulling some of the pieces out. This will give it an unfinished, textured look.
 It’s that easy! And….
It works on short hair as well! Here it is on my friend Amy, who has mid length hair (2 inches past collar bone).
